Quarky is writing this for you...

The story

Quarky follows a single drop around the great water cycle, from the sea to the sky and back again.

What you'll learn

  • The Sun warms the sea and water rises as invisible vapor.
  • High up, cold air turns the vapor into tiny drops that make clouds.
  • When drops grow too heavy, they fall as rain.
  • Rivers carry the rain back to the sea, and the loop starts over.
